Lasco employees don plaid shirts to show Yooper spirit.
Plaidurday Tradition
Since 2011, the first Friday of October has been designated Plaidurday, a celebration of the region’s favorite pattern and all its wonderous variety. Over the years, Plaidurday has become a way to show Yooper pride and love of cozy flannels. This year, Plaidurday was Oct. 6, and Lasco showed up for it.
Showing Our True Colors
While Plaidurday is considered a “worldwide celebration of plaid,” it holds a special place in our hearts. Indeed, it may be the more reliable sartorial signal that seasons are changing than Labor Day and the prohibition of wearing white.
So, we don our plaid and show our colors, and we stand proud in our plaid, waiting for the next celebration. We hope you’ll join us on Oct. 4, 2024.
