Lasco Attends CBM 2024 Convention & Expo The Community Bankers of Michigan (CBM) recently celebrated 50 years of service to support Michigan’s Community Banks. The event was celebrated at CBM’s 2024 Convention and Expo at the Grand Traverse Resort Sept. 11-13, 2024. There, community bankers, vendors, and educators gathered to find out what’s new in the banking industry, how to provide the best products and services for bank customers, and how to tackle the issues facing the banking industry, such as cybersecurity and fraud. Lasco attended the CBM 2024 Convention & Expo and hosted a booth to educate attendees about Lasco’s services. Lasco strives to help boost the efficiency, safety, and customer service of community banks. Community banks are the center of communities all across the state of Michigan. The CBM’s mission is to provide educational opportunities, government advocacy, and offer access to competitive services and products to community banks, as well as many educational opportunities throughout the year. Charity Golf Outing 2024
Annual Charity Golf Outing Charity Golf Outing Day! On Monday, August 12, 2024, Lasco and nine other sponsors held the Annual Charity Golf Outing at the Marquette Golf Club Heritage Course in Marquette, Michigan. The Outing included 18 holes of golf followed by dinner and an awards ceremony in the Clubhouse. Community Bankers from around the region attended, as well as vendors who provide services to Community Banks. The day was ideal, lending to a perfect day on a beautiful golf course. The Outing is held annually to raise funds for a charity impacting our communities. The charity chosen for this year was the United Way of Marquette County. Andrew Rickauer, Executive Director of United Way of Marquette County, was on hand to collect a donation of $3100. Lasco Names Niemi Vice-President of Cyber Services
Lasco Names Mark Niemi Vice-President of Cyber Services Lasco is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Niemi, Cyber Threat Analyst, to Vice President of Cyber Services. A familiar name and face to Lasco clients, Mark has been with Lasco for 14 years. Mark began work at Lasco as a part-time Help Desk technician, moving to a Tier 3 technician, then to being one of Lasco’s senior network administrators. Mark’s interest in the dark web and cybersecurity has evolved over the years, and as Lasco’s needs for cybersecurity and cyber-readiness has increased, Mark was moved to focus on cyber services for our clients as well as monitoring Lasco’s overall cyber health. As the need for cybersecurity continues to grow, Lasco feels Mark is ready to take on the role of Vice President of Cyber Services. Mark’s duties will have him continue working on cyber threat analytics. He will also be tasked with growing Lasco’s cyber services and sharing the load of Lasco’s internal and external compliance requirements.
